Cognisant Psychology, by Molly Ferguson

Molly is a Clinical Psychologist who created Cognisant Psychology to be able to offer high quality psychological services on a flexible basis, independently. With over eleven years experience working in mental health, Molly is a experienced and highly educated mental health clinician. She enjoys working with diverse population groups to best assist people to achieve psychological well being.

Her treatment approach is grounded in evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Committment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy.

She enjoys connecting with people to understand their therapeutic goals and working collaboratively with participants to enable coping, enhance wellbeing and improve distress tolerance.

Molly also has experience conducting assessment and making appropriate treatment recommendations for those who may require psychological support. She has conducted research in behavioural neurology and forensic psychology and has a special interest in sexual health and wellbeing.

Bachelor of Psychology with Honours (First Class)

Deakin University, 2018

The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) provides specialised study in developmental psychology, cognition, social psychology, personality, psychological measurement and abnormal psychology, while developling skills in project management, research design and report writing. Honours is an additional year and includes practical training and preparation for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. This has a strong research component.

This qualification applies to workers who provide support to individuals offering them first point of contact in a crisis situation and referral to a broad range of services.
